Job summary

The Cincinnati Insurance Companies is seeking an Auditor in the Claims department to design and execute audit plans, analyze data for trends, and report findings to management. The role involves leading calibration meetings, auditing files and processes, and communicating results effectively.

Prospective candidates should have two or more years of claims auditing experience, plus familiarity with Guidewire ClaimCenter. Hybrid work options are available in many HQ departments in Fairfield, Ohio.

• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel; advanced Excel knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and/or assist in the creation of audit plans for procedure and data quality audits.
• Lead calibration meetings with other auditors before audits to ensure quality.
• Conduct audits on files and processes subject to audit plans.
• Create scorecards and reports detailing audit results.
• Identify deficiency trends and causes, provide recommendations to improve.
• Identify new strategic risks and suggest audits to address them.
• Coordinate with HQ Claims, Field Claims, Internal Audit and external audit as needed.
• Collaborate with Corporate Internal Audit during testing of Claims Department controls.
• Present audit results to Claims Management.

Our Claims department is currently seeking an Auditor.

Pay range: $50,000 - $104,000 depending on knowledge, skills and experience

Be ready to:

• create and/or assist in the creation of audit plans for procedure and data quality audits
• lead calibration meetings with other auditors prior to conducting audits to ensure quality
• conduct audits on files and processes subject to audit plans
• create scorecards and reports detailing audit results
• identify deficiency trends as well as causes for deficiencies and provide recommendations to help facilitate improvements
• identify new strategic risks and recommend appropriate risk mitigation activities and audits to address these risks to the Lead Claims Auditor and/or Claims Audit Manager
• interact and work with HQ Claims, Field Claims, Internal Audit and external audit, as needed
• work with Corporate Internal Audit during testing of the Claims Department controls, as needed
• present audit results to Claims Management
