The role involves detailed claim analysis, evaluating coverage, developing litigation strategies, and coordinating with underwriters and reinsurers.

Qualifications

• JD required and current attorney license.
• Generally 2 to 6 years of related experience in litigation, insurance coverage, or claims adjusting preferred.
• Detail oriented, organized and possess strong analytical skills.

Responsabilités

• Performs detailed analysis of each claim.
• Evaluates coverage and liability, issues written coverage opinions, monitors files toward resolution.
• Develops and implements claim litigation and resolution strategies.
• Provides information to underwriters and reinsurers on claims and legal trends.
• Secures and analyzes necessary information in claim investigations.
• Attends arbitrations or mediations as necessary.
• May affect settlements and reserves within prescribed limits.
• Ensures timely and accurate claims payments and compliance with laws and procedures.
