Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Law degree is preferred.
• Five or more years of claims adjusting or claims supervision experience.
• Multi-line claims adjusting experience is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and reasoning abilities; multi-tasking capability.
• Ability to maintain relationships with associates, policyholders, claimants and agents.
• Ability to analyze coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide account review, advice and assistance with manuscript forms to underwriting staff.
• Provide file supervision, coverage analysis and guidance on property and casualty claims files.
• Control and manage property and casualty litigation files.
• Conduct product development, including legal and form research, and policy language development.
• Assist Field Claims associates to claims file conclusion.
• Support achievement of departmental goals and initiatives.
• Communicate claims trends to the CSU Underwriting team.
