Job description

Our client is seeking a Claims Analyst to join their team! This position is located in San Diego, California.

Duties :

  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve property damage claims filed by or against the company within designated authority limits
  • Conduct evidence gathering through on-site inspections, photography, and interviews with witnesses and involved parties
  • Examine and evaluate relevant records, reports, and documentation to support claim resolution
  • Maintain accurate and detailed claim investigation files and documentation throughout the process
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, attorneys, and claimants to assess damages and determine appropriate settlement actions
  • Recommend settlement strategies and support decision-making through comprehensive claim analysis
  • Pursue recovery of funds for company property damage by locating responsible parties, negotiating settlements, and coordinating billing communications
  • Support legal proceedings as needed, including participation in hearings and trials related to property damage claims

Desired Skills / Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is highly desired
  • 3+ years of experience in claims adjusting, with a strong preference for subrogation and recovery, claim intake alone does not qualify
  • Background in general liability, casualty claims, motor vehicle accidents, bodily injury, and / or property damage may be considered as a substitute for subrogation / recovery experience
  • Experience handling multi-line claims, personal and commercial, including casualty claims investigation, liability analysis, bodily injury, and case management, is strongly preferred
