Job summary

Marsh McLennan Agency is seeking a Claims Advocate - Property & Casualty Claims to join our team in the Southeast region. This role supports end-to-end claims handling for assigned accounts, leveraging Origami and EPIC to gather policy information, with a focus on low-complexity claims.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years in insurance, demonstrates strong organization and communication skills, and is prepared to commute to an MMA Southeast office at least three days per

• Prior insurance brokerage or carrier experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize systems to track and update claims and obtain policy copies for accounts.
• Handle low-complexity claims from intake through resolution.
• Manage multiple client accounts and monitor activity.
• Follow up on open property and casualty claims to drive timely resolution.
• Negotiate with adjusters on behalf of clients for favorable outcomes.
• Develop loss analysis reports such as Loss Summaries.
• Prepare materials for claim review and stewardship meetings.
• Collaborate with Claims Intake Team for accurate reporting.
• Perform any other claims-related duties as assigned.

Applicants must be within driving distance to any MMA Southeast office to be considered for this role and have the ability to commute to the office a minimum of three days per week.

A day in the life.

As an Claims Advocate - Property & Casualty Claims, you will:

• Utilize Origami to track and update claims and leverage EPIC to obtain copies of policies for assigned accounts.
• Manage and handle claims of low complexity from intake through resolution.
• Assigned multiple client accounts to actively monitor and manage.
• Proactively follow up on open P&C claims across property, general liability, and auto lines to ensure timely progression toward resolution.
• Negotiate with adjusters on behalf of clients to drive favorable claims outcomes.
• Apply a proactive coverage mindset to assigned casualty claims, anticipating potential issues and identifying opportunities to strengthen client outcomes.
• Develop loss analysis reports including but not limited to Loss Summaries.
• Prepare and organize materials for claim review meetings and stewardship meetings for assigned accounts.
• Collaborate with the Claims Intake Team to support accurate and timely claim reporting, serving as a knowledgeable resource throughout the intake process.
• Execute all other claims-related duties as assigned.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Willingness to learn Origami and EPIC systems
• Prior insurance (brokerage or carrier) experience preferred

• Property and Casualty Adjuster License or willingness to obtain within 90 days required.
