Independence Pet Holdings is seeking a Claims Adjuster- Associate to join our remote team in the United States. You will investigate and settle pet insurance claims, determine coverage and compensation, and manage documentation like EOBs while coordinating with veterinary providers and policyholders.

The role requires at least 1 year of veterinary clinic experience, appropriate degrees or CVT/RVT certifications, and an adjuster license within 90 days.

Qualifications

• 1 year relevant experience working in a veterinary clinic.
• Associate’s Degree or equivalent (One-year college); or CVT/RVT.
• Must have and maintain Adjusters license or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Only United States residents will be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and settle insurance claims with veterinary context.
• Determine policy coverage for claimed losses and compensation amounts.
• Update EOBs, pay and close claims, order medical records when needed.
• Communicate with clients and providers during treatment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

Doutbless Pet Insurance Partnerships — North America is seeking a Claims Adjuster- Associate who will report to the Supervisor, Claims. The Claims Adjuster- Associate is responsible for investigating, evaluating, and settling insurance claims. This role also determines policy coverage for the claimed loss and appropriate compensation amount.

Job Location: Remote- USA

Main Responsibilities:

• Works closely with veterinary hospitals, and policyholders to evaluate and review a pet’s medical history to determine a baseline of health.
• Investigates and processes assigned insurance claims, verifies coverage, and compensation amounts, per insurance policy.
• Updates Explanation of Benefits (EOB), pays and closes claim.
• May order medical records from providers.
• May communicate with clients and providers during treatment.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• 1 year relevant experience working in a veterinary clinic

• Education: Must meet one of the following requirements:

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience (One-year relevant experience is equivalent to one year college); or

• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

• Licenses/Certifications:

• Must have and maintain Adjusters license or must obtain within 90 days of hire

• Only United States residents will be considered for this role

Expected Hours of Work:

• This is a full-time position: Days and hours to be determined by needs of business. Hours to be determined between employee and director.
