Job summary

One80 Intermediaries seeks a seasoned Claims Adjuster to manage complex, high-severity insurance claims across assigned lines of business in the United States. You will apply advanced technical expertise, ensure regulatory compliance, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with policyholders, attorneys, and vendors to drive timely, fair resolutions while controlling financial exposure.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of claims handling experience and industry

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience with 5+ years of progressive claims handling.
• Strong knowledge of insurance regulations and claim management systems.
• Demonstrated strengths in analytical problem solving, strategic negotiation, and professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Directed the investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution of high complexity claims, ensuring accurate outcomes and mitigation of financial exposure.
• Delivered timely, equitable claim resolutions while maintaining policy provisions, regulatory requirements, and standards.
• Mentored and trained Claims Representatives and support staff by providing technical guidance and ongoing performance support.

The Claims Adjuster manages complex and high-severity insurance claims across assigned lines of business. Provides advanced technical expertise, ensures compliance with regulatory standards, and supports training and mentoring of junior staff.

Your Impact:

• Directed the investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution of high complexity claims, ensuring accurate outcomes and mitigation of financial exposure.

• Delivered timely, equitable claim resolutions while maintaining strict adherence to policy provisions, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards.

• Cultivated strong relationships through effective communication with policyholders, attorneys, vendors, and cross functional internal teams to drive efficient claim outcomes.

• Mentored and trained Claims Representatives and support staff by providing technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and ongoing performance support.

Successful Candidates Will Have:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience, supported by more than five years of progressive claims handling expertise.

• Extensive knowledge of insurance regulations and claim management systems, ensuring compliant and efficient claim administration.

• Demonstrated strengths in analytical problem solving, strategic negotiation, and professional communication.

• Industry certifications preferred (e.g., AIC, CPCU).

Pay Range:

$18.00 - $20.00 Hourly

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for this role.
