Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and assess insurance claims to determine the extent of damages or losses.
• Conduct thorough investigations, including on-site inspections and interviews, to gather evidence and facts.
• Determine liability and negotiate settlements with policyholders, insured parties, and third-party claimants.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all claims activities and communications.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as underwriting and legal, to ensure claims are processed efficiently and in compliance with regulations.
• Provide expert advice and recommendations to management on complex claims and potential trends.
• Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in claims adjustment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as insurance, business, or a similar discipline.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in claims adjustment, preferably in the insurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies, laws, and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with a diverse range of people.
• Proficiency in using office software, including Microsoft Office Suite and claims management systems.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record, as on-site inspections may be required.
• Certification in claims adjustment, such as the CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) or AIC (Associate in Claims) designation, is a plus.
