Job summary

Soni Resources is seeking an experienced Claims Adjuster for a 5-month contract assignment that will be onsite four days a week. The role involves investigating and managing marine-related claims, assessing liability, and supporting resolution or litigation.

You will collaborate with operations teams, vessel personnel, customers, contractors, and insurers, gathering statements, medical records, and documentation while establishing reserves and monitoring expenses.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of claims experience.
• Certified Claims Professional certification required.
• Knowledge of investigative techniques and claims management practices.
• Understanding of the litigation process.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and manage incidents and claims related to marine operations, including personal injury, illness, property damage, cargo damage, and other claims.
• Determine the cause of incidents and assess potential liability and risk exposure.
• Work closely with operations teams, vessel personnel, customer service representatives, contractors, insurance carriers, medical providers, and legal counsel.
• Obtain and review statements, medical records, surveys, and other documentation necessary to investigate and manage claims.
• Communicate with claimants and medical providers to gather relevant information.
• Establish and monitor claim reserves, track expenses, and approve appropriate claim-related payments.
• Partner with in-house and outside counsel on litigation strategy and claim resolution.
• Initiate and monitor required Coast Guard documentation, including Form 2692.
• Maintain accurate claim files, documentation, and system records.
• Support department priorities and maintain consistent, reliable attendance.

Compensation: $29 - $35/ Hr

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
