What You'll Do

Under the close supervision of the Training Supervisor, the Claims Adjuster Trainee performs essential functions to develop skills and knowledge required to investigate, evaluate, and resolve automobile claims. This entry-level position involves comprehensive training in a classroom setting and on-the-job experience to ensure proficiency in all aspects of claims adjudication.

Responsibilities
  • Complete all assigned claims training programs in a classroom setting.
  • Engage actively in learning sessions, demonstrating understanding of the material covered.
  • Investigate automobile claims thoroughly to gather relevant information.
  • Evaluate claims to determine validity and potential payout based on policy terms.
  • Resolve automobile claims efficiently and timely, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure ongoing adjudication within company standards, industry best practices, and all regulations.
  • Stay updated on regulatory and policy changes.
  • Document investigations, evaluations, recommendations, and action plans accurately.
  • Maintain detailed records in the claims management system.
  • Produce clear, grammatically correct correspondence, reports, and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with claimants, policyholders, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Perform other duties to support the claims department and organizational goals.
Requirements
  • A 4-year college degree or at least 1 year industry experience.
  • Strong communication and written skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and pass a background check.
  • Disciplined approach, organization, decision-making, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to achieve performance goals and develop good relationships with staff and clients.
  • Professional representation of the company and provision of excellent client service.
Working Conditions
  • Non-exempt position with possible alternative work schedules.
  • Mandatory overtime may be required.
  • Supportive, paperless, technical environment.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Fast-paced environment requiring accuracy and extended computer use.
