Job summary

McGriff Insurance Services, Inc. is seeking a Claim Account Executive on the McGriff Specialty Team to develop strategic client relationships and guide complex claim outcomes.

You will analyze policy language, coordinate with carriers, and deliver targeted risk management insights to clients. You will manage upper-tier claims, provide policy interpretations, mentor junior staff, and support business development with clients while ensuring high levels of service and risk management excellence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Ten years of experience in a claim adjuster or broker claim consulting role.
• Insurance Adjuster's License and licensed per local requirements.
• Multi-line claim experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of claim practices and ability to interpret complex policies and contracts.
• Proficiency with computers and communications technology relevant to the role.
• Superior writing skills to clearly convey complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop and foster strategic client relationships and provide studies and recommendations.
• Handle upper and Jumbo segment claims with minimal supervision.
• Enhance client relations and assist in directing carrier-provided claim services.
• Confirm coverage and manage claims to positive outcomes for assigned clients.
• Draft written responses to reservation of rights letters and denials.
• Provide educational presentations on policies, coverages, and risk issues.
• Mentor and develop internal consultants.
• Conduct client studies on Cost of Risk and related topics.
• Contribute to service plans and identify new business opportunities.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance and claim trends for accurate client studies.

A day in the life.

As our Claim Account Executive on the McGriff Specialty Team, you will:

• Develop, foster strategic client relationships, understanding client's business sufficiently to provide studies and recommendations focused on specific client needs, ensuring accuracy, timeliness of client related communications.
• Handle all claims within the upper and Jumbo segments with little direct supervision.
• Enhance McGriff Insurance Services Inc.'s relations with key customers; and assist in the direction of carrier-provided claim adjusting services.
• Confirm coverage and accurately manage claims to positive outcomes for assigned clients.
• Ability to develop and produce coherent and comprehensive written responses to reservation of rights letters and coverage denials.
• Provide educational presentations to both internal and external clients on various policies, coverages, management issues and emerging risk.
• Aide Claim Manager as a resource by mentoring and developing internal consultants.
• Conduct studies for clients in areas such as: (select as appropriate to the position) Cost of Risk
• Containment and Claim Mitigation.
• Communicate effectively with clients and service team, so as to maintain highest level of client satisfaction with McGriff.
• Participate in the development and review of service plans.
• Identify, pursue appropriate business development opportunities with new and existing clients.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance/risk management-related technical developments and claim trends ensuring that client studies reflect best current thinking.
• Support sales and service marketing efforts related to account renewals and new business opportunities.

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Ten years of experience in a claim adjusters role or broker claim consulting role
• Insurance Adjuster's License and licensed in accordance with local requirements
• Multi-line claim experience
• In-depth understanding of claim best practices and able to read and interpret complicated policies and insurance contract
• Understand and apply computer and communications technology applicable to the position
• Superior writing skills to convey and explain complex issues and ideas
• Excellent deductive reasoning skills and problem solving ability

Preferred Qualifications.

• Experience in insurance carrier underwriting
• Continuing Education and professional associations to stay abreast of insurance claims matters
• Prior brokerage experience
• Associate in Risk Management (ARM) or Associate in Claims (AIC) designation
