Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of property damages for residential and commercial claims.
  • Meet with insureds, explain coverage, estimate damages, and guide them through the claims process while providing exceptional service.
  • Collaborate with policyholders, insurance agents, and other parties to gather information and resolve claims efficiently.
  • Interact with parties expressing strong emotions or concerns about inspections or claims.
  • Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed reports.
  • Investigate and adjust property claims up to $500,000 in exposure.
  • Evaluate coverage and policy terms for validity and compliance.
  • Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits, considering policy provisions and standards.

Work Location: Dawsonville, GA 30534. Candidates should reside within zip codes: 30028, 30040, 30041, 30107, 30143, 30148, 30151, 30177, 30506, 30527, 30528, 30533, 30534, 30554, 30564. This is a remote-field position with travel within the territory and occasional outside-area assistance.

Work hours are flexible and may include overtime or irregular hours.

Qualifications

  • Experience in property claims inspection within insurance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of property insurance policies, coverage, and claims practices.
  • Knowledge of residential and commercial construction.
  • Familiarity with local regulations in the territory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assess damages, estimate costs, and negotiate settlements.
  • Detail-oriented with organizational and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in claims management software.
  • Physical agility for inspections, including lifting, climbing, crawling.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, experience with high-value or complex claims, construction background, water mitigation inspection, and familiarity with Xactimate and XactContents.

Additional requirements: successful completion of training, licensing, and background checks; may include assessments.
