Job summary

The Oregon State Police in Salem, Oregon is seeking a Compliance Specialist 2 – Law Enforcement Data Systems to join our in‑office team. This is a full‑time, permanent position with no remote option.

You will develop and maintain program documents and audit functions to ensure user compliance within CJIS, coordinate with staff and management, and investigate complaints of system misuse from users or private citizens.

Qualifications

• Four years experience doing administrative research that included compiling and evaluating facts to recommend management action, or decide compliance with program guidelines and regulations.
• Two of the four years must be above the technical support level.
• Note: college-level course work may substitute for experience on the basis of 45-quarter units per year, up to a maximum of three years.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain program documents and audit functions to ensure user compliance in CJIS audits.
• Work in coordination with audit/training staff and management to monitor the program’s effect.
• Investigate complaints of system misuse or violations and take corrective action as needed.
• Represent the CJIS Division at meetings and user events.
