Job summary

Silver Air is seeking an experienced Citation CJ3 Captain to join our Van Nuys-based team. You’ll fly for an owner who is a doctor on a legacy account, with exposure to leadership and opportunities to expand flight hours across the CJ3 fleet.

The role requires 3,500 hours total (3,000 PIC), 3,000 hours multi-engine (2,000 PIC), and turbine hours of 1,750 preferred, plus CE-525S type rating and a first-class medical. A flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Total time in all aircraft: 3500 hours; 3000 hours as PIC.
• Multi-engine time: 3000 hours; 2000 hours as PIC.
• Total turbine time: 1750 hours preferred.
• Type rated on CE-525S or comparable aircraft.
• Valid First Class Medical Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Review maintenance status to ensure airworthiness.
• Conduct pre-flight inspections per Aircraft Flight Manual.
• Assess weather and route details, including alternates.
• Ensure flight complies with Silver Air policies and FARs.
• Maintain passenger, aircraft, and crew safety.
• Complete trip paperwork accurately.
