Job summary

Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a CIWS Reliability Engineer in Arlington, VA to provide engineering support for reliability, maintainability, and lifecycle sustainment of CIWS systems.

The role involves analyzing maintenance concepts, preparing CASREP data, and coordinating with Fleet and program offices to ensure CIWS readiness. Strong communication and technical writing skills are essential for briefing senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience applying engineering, scientific, and mathematical principles to technical problems.
• Experience supporting maintenance, reliability, or sustainment activities for complex systems.
• Experience with RMA analysis, metrics, or reporting preferred.
• Experience with CASREP data or Navy maintenance and readiness reporting highly desired.
• Experience supporting depot maintenance, equipment recertification, refurbishment, or lifecycle sustainment preferred.
• Experience with CIWS or shipboard combat systems highly desired.
• Strong analytical, technical writing, communication, and briefing skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information to engineers, program management, senior leadership, and Fleet stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Apply theories of science, engineering, and math to research and develop economical technical solutions.
• Review and develop maintenance concepts, maintenance plans, MIPs, and MRCs.
• Prepare for and participate in RMA data reviews, metrics trends, and briefings.
• Analyze reliability and maintenance data to identify trends and improve readiness.
• Develop and track CASREP data and related information.
• Prepare technical reports and briefing materials for senior leadership and Fleet.
• Support depot maintenance requirements and CIWS recertification planning.
• Coordinate with program offices, Fleet, engineering, and maintenance to support CIWS sustainment.
• Provide recommendations on system reliability, maintainability, availability and lifecycle support.
