Job summary

Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc., a Davey company, seeks a civil/environmental or water resources engineer to join our Millersville, MD team. You will work on stream restoration, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, wetlands mitigation, and living shoreline projects, with opportunities in AutoCAD and related tools.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering and an EIT, with preferred experience in stream restoration and hydrologic modelling.

Qualifications

• REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental/water resources or biological engineering, or closely related discipline
• REQUIRED: EIT
• PREFERRED: Up to five years of relevant experience
• PREFERRED: Experience with stream restoration design
• PREFERRED: Experience with hydrologic and/or hydraulic modelling
• PREFERRED: Experience with floodplain modelling
• PREFERRED: Experience in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and TR-55
• PREFERRED: Master’s degree in civil/environmental or biological engineering, or closely related discipline

Position Overview

Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc., a Davey company,is seeking a civil/environmental/water resources or biological engineer interested in wetlands, streams, and water resources to join our Millersville, Maryland team. Projects include stream restoration, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, low impact development, wetlands mitigation design, and living shoreline assessment and design.

Job Duties

Primary duties will include:

• Stream assessment and monitoring
• Stream restoration construction oversight
• Hydrologic watershed analysis
• Hydraulic analysis of open and closed drainage systems
• Living shoreline assessments and design
• Wetlands mitigation design, project drawings
• Chesapeake Bay preservation studies and approvals
• Preparing presentations for hearings and client review
• Other civil and environmentally-related studies
• Autodesk® computer aided design work

Qualifications
