Job summary

SEH is seeking a Civil Wastewater Engineer / Project Manager to join our Water/Wastewater team. You will lead planning, design, and construction of water treatment and wastewater projects with our employee-owned culture.

As an engineer and project manager, you will collaborate with engineers, designers, and professionals, manage multiple projects, build client relationships, and contribute to SEH's mission.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or closely related field.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within six months.
  • Experience in design and construction of municipal, state, federal, or industrial drinking water or wastewater projects.
  • Knowledge of water/wastewater treatment systems, equipment, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning, design, and construction of water treatment and wastewater projects.
  • Develop creative solutions to treatment and conveyance challenges with the project team.
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to deliver innovative project solutions.
  • Build and strengthen client relationships with experienced project managers.
  • Open to candidates residing in MN, WI, IA, NE, KS or TX.

This Opportunity
  • Join our wastewater infrastructure team to support the planning, design, and construction of a wide variety of water treatment and wastewater treatment projects
  • Develop creative solutions to complex water and wastewater treatment and conveyance challenges, working closely with our team of engineers, designers and other professionals
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to deliver innovative project solutions
  • Build and strengthen client relationships in collaboration with experienced project managers

Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, or a related field
  • Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within six months
  • Experience in the design and construction of municipal, state, federal, or industrial drinking water or wastewater treatment projects
  • Knowledge of water / wastewater treatment systems, equipment, and regulations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Eight (8) years of experience designing and/or managing wastewater treatment or conveyance projects
  • Eight (8) years of experience designing and/or managing drinking water projects, including treatment, wells and pumphouses, storage facilities, booster stations, and distribution systems
  • Knowledge of regional water and wastewater issues and familiarity with the municipal government client base
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to scope and budget new drinking and wastewater facility projects and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools

Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $125,000 and $160,000 based on skill set and experience. Check out our full benefits package at SEH Hiring Journey.
