Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting civil/ transportation construction projects.
• Ability to document contractor activities and safety compliance.
• Strong communication and recordkeeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Observe and document contractor operations for plans and safety standards.
• Complete accurate daily field reports with labor, equipment, materials, and conversations.
• Verify material testing results and certifications.
• Assist with measurement of quantities and earthwork computations.
• Monitor erosion control, traffic control and work-zone safety.
• Coordinate with contractors, city staff and agencies as directed.
• Provide updates to Senior Inspector and Project Manager.
• Support field and office documentation tasks.
