M3 Engineering Group seeks a Civil/Transportation Engineer for our Chicago office. The role blends civil infrastructure and transportation design across a range of projects, with latitude to contribute from early concepts through delivery.

Ideal candidates bring roadway experience and a PE license in Illinois and Missouri, or ability to obtain. Remote work from the Chicago area or hybrid in-office options are available, with travel regionally as needed.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• PE license in Illinois and Missouri, or ability to obtain.
• Experience in transportation, civil infrastructure, water resources, or related areas with multi-phase design delivery.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and know when to collaborate.

Responsabilités

• Perform stormwater drainage and hydraulic design for transportation projects.
• Design greenways, trails, sidewalks, and other pedestrian/bicycle facilities.
• Lead roadway design development including geometry, drainage, and plan development.
• Prepare plans, specifications, calculations, reports, and other technical deliverables.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies during permitting.
• Apply engineering judgment to design challenges for projects.
• Coordinate with clients, utilities, agencies, and stakeholders.
• Support growth of transportation and civil infrastructure work in Chicago market.
• Help expand M3’s presence and project opportunities in Chicago.
