AECOM is actively seeking a bright Civil Transportation Engineer IV for our Chelmsford office in the Transportation Business Line. You will lead mid- to large-size projects, provide specialist input to design and studies, and present complex solutions to clients.

Responsibilities include quality control, proposal development, and budgeting/scheduling for major initiatives in New England. Hybrid work arrangement and relocation assistance are noted elsewhere in the posting.

Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a bright and highly motivated Civil Transportation Engineer IV for employment in our Transportation Business Line based out of our Chelmsford office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Serves as lead engineer on mid- to large size projects.
• Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
• Approves and signs off on work.
• Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts.
• Presents complex technical solutions to clients.
• Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.
• Participates in development of technical proposals.
• Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• BA/BS + six years of relevant or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Requirements

• MA PE or the ability to obtain. Other New England PEs are also beneficial.
• Direct experience on MassDOT Design Build projects as a Roadway Discipline Lead or key contributor to the final design of the project.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley OpenRoads to support projects in New England.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $180000 to $233000.
