We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Civil Surgeon to join our urgent care team on a part-time basis. As a Civil Surgeon, you will be responsible for conducting immigration medical examinations/physicals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct immigration medical examinations in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
  • Complete all necessary forms and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform thorough medical evaluations, including physical examinations, laboratory testing, and diagnostic procedures, as needed.
  • Collaborate with other clinic staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients seen.
  • Adhere to all relevant legal and ethical standards, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.
  • Stay current with developments in immigration law and medical guidelines relevant to immigration medical examinations.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Valid license to practice medicine in IL.
  • Certification by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as a Civil Surgeon, or eligibility to obtain certification.
  • Experience conducting immigration medical examinations preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of acute medical conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks appropriately.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and culturally sensitive care to a diverse patient population.

Schedule

This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling options. The exact schedule will be determined based on the needs of the urgent care facility, the availability of the candidate, and the number of immigration physicals to be completed.

Compensation: negotiable; per immigration physical completed
