Job summary

Kiewit Power Constructors is seeking a Civil Superintendent to lead and supervise field operations on heavy civil and highway projects. You will coordinate crews, subcontractors, and resources to deliver high-quality results safely and on schedule.

The role focuses on directing daily field activities, maintaining documentation, and mentoring staff while upholding Kiewit's Zero Harm safety culture. Based in Lenexa, KS with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of grading, excavation, paving, and bridge construction.
• Proven ability to lead crews and manage subcontractors effectively.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel and relocate based on project needs.

Position Overview

The Civil Superintendent is responsible for managing and supervising all field operations on heavy civil and highway construction projects. This role ensures that work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and schedules. The Civil Superintendent serves as the primary leader in the field, coordinating crews, subcontractors, and resources to deliver high-quality results while fostering a culture of safety and teamwork.

District Overview

Kiewit Power Constructors (KPC) provides direct-hire construction services for Power Generation utilizing a union craft force. Kiewit Power Constructors builds major EPC power plant and solar projects throughout North America. We offer integrated engineering, procurement, construction and startup service needs, specializing in gas and coal-fired power generation, coal retrofit and renewable energy.

The position is based out of Lenexa, KS.
