Job summary

Aleut Federal, LLC is seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent to provide hands-on field leadership for heavy civil construction projects, primarily in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The ideal candidate will oversee earthwork, site development, utilities, erosion control, and site restoration per drawings, specs, and schedule.

The role requires strong field leadership, coordination of crews and subcontractors, and ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on federally funded projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of construction supervisory experience in heavy civil/earthwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily heavy civil, earthwork, and site development operations; plan work fronts, manpower, equipment, materials, and sequencing.
• Direct crews, foremen, equipment operators, laborers, and subcontractors for safe, productive execution.
• Plan and oversee mass excavation and grading, underground utility installations, drainage systems, and site restoration.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, testing, survey, engineering, and other project resources.
• Track quantities, production, manpower, equipment, and schedule performance; adjust resources to maintain planned production.
• Lead coordination meetings, site walkdowns, toolbox talks, and safety meetings; maintain site access and housekeeping.
• Maintain accurate daily records and coordinate with Project Management, Safety, Quality Control, clients, and other stakeholders.
