Job summary

Distro in Reno, NV is seeking an experienced Field Superintendent to lead site development projects. You will oversee earthwork, utilities, and infrastructure, coordinate multiple crews, ensure safety, and drive schedule execution across scopes.

You will manage planning, coordinate with clients and suppliers, monitor quality, and produce daily production reports. Strong leadership, reading civil plans, and communication are essential for success in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years field leadership experience (Foreman/Superintendent).
• Strong background in site development, earthwork and underground utilities.
• Knowledge of grading, compaction and utility systems.
• Ability to read civil plans and profiles.
• Proven leadership and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field production across mass grading, excavation, utilities and roadwork.
• Plan, coordinate 2-week and 6-week lookaheads and allocate resources.
• Oversee installation of water, sewer, storm drain, electrical and communications.
• Ensure accuracy in trenching, bedding and compaction testing.
• Maintain safety standards, conduct JHAs and safety meetings.
• Manage crews and subcontractors; ensure field-to-PM communication.
• Produce daily production reports and support inspections and as-builts.

Field leadership role responsible for executing site development projects, including earthwork, utilities, and infrastructure. Accountable for production, safety, coordination, and schedule execution across multiple crews and scopes.

Key Responsibilities

• Field Leadership & Production
  • Lead daily operations across Mass grading, Excavation, Utilities, Roadway construction
  • Manage crews, operators, and equipment
  • Drive sequencing to avoid delays
  • Ensure efficient use of resources
• Planning & Coordination
  • Develop Daily work plans, 2-week and 6-week lookaheads
  • Coordinate Client, equipment, and materials
  • Remove constraints impacting productivity
• Utilities & Technical Execution
  • Oversee installation of Water, sewer, storm drain, Electrical and communication systems
  • Ensure accuracy in Trenching, Bedding, Compaction Testing
  • Coordinate layouts, elevations, slopes
• Quality Control
  • Verify Grades, elevations, compaction
  • Ensure inspection readiness
  • Coordinate with inspectors and agencies
  • Minimize rework
