Prema Consulting Group LLC (PCG) headquartered in Tampa, Florida provides accurate, unbiased, and evidence-based expert opinion with an industry-leading turnaround time to assist its clients in resolving property damage insurance claims and litigation matters.
This is a part-time, contract position. The primary responsibility of the Civil / Structural Forensic Engineer (FE) is to perform property damage assessments for residential, commercial, and institutional buildings and be in charge of delivering engineering reports consistent with company standards. This work will involve site visits where the engineer will document the existing conditions, interview the available parties, capture findings, and develop preliminary conclusions on which the report will be based.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Perform various physical tasks during site studies, including climbing stairs, walking on building roofs, and accessing confined spaces (e.g., attics and crawlspaces).
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering with 3+ years of engineering experience.
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the advertised state, with potential for additional state licenses.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to complete site studies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, cloud-based software, and/or project management tools.
Solid organizational skills with attention to detail.
Dependable and reliable, especially under urgent conditions.
Completes tasks and projects with minimal supervision.
NCEES Record or willingness to obtain within 3 months is preferred.
