Job summary

Crossing Hurdles seeks a Civil & Structural Engineering Pod Lead to steer a 5–10 person trainer pod, crafting terminal-based civil/structural tasks for AI training and evaluation.

You will ensure engineering correctness, reproducibility and reliable grading, reviewing models, tests and workflows while mentoring a team of engineers and researchers.

Qualifications

• Ph.D., postdoctoral experience or equivalent advanced Civil/Structural/Geotechnical expertise.
• Strong Python, C/C++, Julia, Fortran or MATLAB/Octave skills with Linux proficiency.
• Expertise in structural analysis, FEA, earthquake engineering, geotechnical or hydraulic modeling.
• Working knowledge of ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, Eurocodes or IS codes.
• Experience reviewing simulations and leading small technical teams, with strong written communication.

Responsibilities

• Review structural and geotechnical models, load cases, simulation data, solutions and automated tests.
• Validate structural analysis, FEA, earthquake and wind engineering, geotechnical, hydraulic and hydrological workflows.
