Job summary

Wells Concrete invites an engineering student to join its Engineering Development Program as a Civil/Structural Intern. You will rotate through quality control, field services, and design to gain hands-on experience in precast manufacturing and construction operations.

Compensation ranges from $20 to $25 per hour, based on location and experience, with safety and teamwork emphasized throughout the program.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering.
• Interest in precast concrete, structural design, and construction operations.
• Ability to learn from field operations and improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Shadow quality control technicians and assist plant inspections.
• Perform concrete testing in laboratory environments.
• Learn to use Concrete Vision (CV) or similar tracking systems.
• Assist with pre-pour inspections and formwork readiness checks.
• Interpret blueprints and communicate work plans to field crews.
• Support layout and jobsite coordination with field supervisors.
• Assist with survey and layout equipment to verify alignment.
• Contribute to NCR analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
