Job summary

NESC Staffing is seeking a motivated Civil/Structural Engineer with a PE license to lead projects from concept through completion in our Houston area team. This role targets individuals with 5+ years of experience who thrive in a collaborative environment and are ready to take on leadership responsibilities.

You will develop designs, calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports; coordinate activities across disciplines; and maintain strong client relationships while mentoring

Qualifications

• PE license required and active.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of civil/structural engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil/structural projects to meet quality, schedule, and budget goals.
• Develop and review designs, calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.

• Serve as primary technical contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil and structural engineering projects, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved.


• Develop and review engineering designs, calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.


• Coordinate project activities within the Civil/Structural Engineering group while collaborating effectively with other engineering disciplines.


• Serve as a primary technical point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships through clear communication and responsive service.


• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior engineering staff.


• Ensure projects comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.


• Participate in project planning, scheduling, and resource coordination to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.


• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.


• Mid- to senior-level experience in civil and/or structural engineering.


• Demonstrated ability to independently lead engineering projects and multidisciplinary teams.


• Strong technical knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles, design practices, and industry standards.


• Excellent organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.


• Proven ability to work collaboratively across engineering disciplines and communicate effectively with clients.
