Job summary

Chicago Bridge & Iron Company seeks a Civil Structural Engineer to design and analyze LT&C storage tank structures worldwide. Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil Structural Engineering required, with 2–5 years in structural engineering.

PE license is a plus, and familiarity with AISC/ASCE/IBC/API/ACI codes is expected. Responsibilities include design calculations, specs, and construction documents; collaboration with designers, engineers and project managers; and mentoring junior staff as projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Structural Engineering from an accredited school.
• 0 to 10 years of industry experience in civil structural engineering.
• Professional Engineering licensure is desired.
• Understanding of AISC, ASCE, IBC, API, ACI and related codes is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze LT&C storage tank structures including steel and concrete components.
• Produce design calculations, specifications and construction documents.
• Coordinate with project team members and other disciplines.
• Mentor junior engineers and support project management tasks.
• Ensure designs are safe for field erection and constructability.
