Position Summary

Civil Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

Demonstrates a continuing consciousness of safety in daily activities, and implemented in work designs.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and to coordinate activities with others.

Responsibilities will include structural analysis and design, preparation of detailed design calculations and drawings.

Must be design capable and proficient using AutoCAD or similar CAD software.

Must be willing to think creatively, and work collaboratively with other engineers and drafts-persons in a team environment.

Manage client relationships and develop repeat business opportunities.

Independently prepare intermediate to advanced level specifications for project assignments, detailing client performance requirements, specific component needs, design requirements, applicable design codes, and vendor drawing requirements.

Set realistic expectations and ensure assigned projects are completed according to schedule and within budget.

Plan and manage workload, budgets and project resources, requesting assistance as necessary.

Qualifications

PE license Required; SE license Preferred

STAAD Pro

RISA 3d, Foundation, & Connection

Microstation and AutoCAD

Autodesk Advance Steel experience a plus

5-10+ years of desgin experience preffered

Chemical plant or refinery experience preferred

Education Requirements

Bachelors of Science in Civil and/or Structural Engineering
