Job summary

Candidates should have a BS in Civil Engineering (ABET), 6+ years experience, and PE eligibility within 2 years. Familiarity with STAAD, RISA, Enercalc, MathCAD, AutoCAD, and codes like IBC and ASCE-7 is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited college/university.
• 6+ years of professional experience.
• PE or ability to obtain within 2 years; Structural PE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare discipline engineering designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Define objectives, prepare design estimates, and specify project requirements.
• Scope, estimate, organize, execute, and coordinate engineering projects with complex requirements.
• Perform checks of deliverables to ensure compliance with procedures and standards.
• Prepare/check calculations using STAAD, Risa, Enercalc, and related software.
• Use MathCAD and Excel for engineering calculations.
• Apply codes/standards: IBC, CBC, ASCE-7, AISC 360/341, ACI 318.
• Travel regularly (day trips, some overnights).
• Assist in resolving construction issues with design staff.
