Job summary

Basin Electric Power Cooperative seeks a Civil or Structural Engineer (Level DOE) to work at our Headquarters in Bismarck, ND. The role supports generation and transmission facilities with civil or structural focus, under licensed engineer supervision.

The position requires on-site presence with travel as needed; an ABET-accredited civil engineering degree and structural emphasis are preferred. Dominate in design, specs, and coordination across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (ABET-accredited preferred).
• Emphasis in structural engineering is required for the Structural Engineer path.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed phases of engineering work for smaller projects and assist senior engineers.
• Develop civil/structural designs for plants, utilities, and transmission facilities.
• Prepare specifications and drawings for procurement and construction.
• Coordinate civil/structural design with construction and contractors; provide field inspections.
