Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. seeks a Civil Staff Engineer – EIT in Plano, TX to support wind, solar, and emerging market renewable projects. You will collaborate across disciplines to deliver design documents and ensure constructability and risk management.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree from ABET-accredited program, strong communication skills, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, with interest in renewable energy and development.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design documents for civil systems associated with utility-scale renewable projects.
• Review plans and specifications for constructability and risk management.
• Coordinate technical activities and designs with personnel in other disciplines and departments within the local office.
• Serve as a liaison between other engineers and design team.
• Assist the Project Manager or Lead in preparing the conceptual, preliminary and final design and attend meetings and participate in phone calls with client to coordinate various design activities.
• Assist with other duties assigned by Project Managers.

If you are a licensed engineer with 6 years of designing experience looking for that next step in your career as a project manager or strong technical lead, this may be the position for you.

Requirements
