Civil Staff Engineer II

Verdantas has an immediate opening for a mid-level civil engineer in our Ossipee, NH office. The role involves civil and environmental engineering design and permitting for municipal, residential, commercial, and institutional projects. We seek an enthusiastic individual eager to grow with our team.

The position includes assisting project managers with field data collection, civil engineering, CAD design/drafting, site design, drainage analysis using HydroCad, permit applications, and construction support. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a desire to learn, and an interest in diverse civil engineering projects across northern New England.

Responsibilities:

• Civil engineering design for municipal, commercial, residential, and institutional projects, including site design and permitting
• CAD design work
• Preparing reports and permit applications related to civil engineering projects
• Designing civil projects such as site grading, wastewater systems, septic systems, road and drainage improvements, and water treatment, distribution, and storage; providing construction support

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in civil engineering or related field from an accredited institution
• EIT certification
• 1-4 years of civil engineering experience preferred
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D
• Technical knowledge in water/wastewater infrastructure, stormwater, and site design and permitting in New Hampshire or similar regulatory environment
• Understanding of civil engineering fundamentals such as stormwater drainage, hydraulics, water/sewer systems, and roadway design
• Strong technical skills
• Ability to perform fieldwork, including carrying equipment and walking on undeveloped sites
