Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • P.E. license and proficiency in HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS required.
  • Experience with TxDOT projects is a plus.

Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a qualified individual to grow the Engineering business. We are looking to attract a Hydrology & Hydraulics Design Lead in either our San Antonio, Austin, or Dallas-Ft. Worth offices. This person will assist in client acquisition and retention, and optimize profitability through the development and implementation of engineering services to exceed client expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a Hydrology & Hydraulics project team.
  • Design stormwater systems, manage stormwater, BMP analysis, stream restoration, MS4 Program Planning, and understand LID concepts. Familiarity with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, TR-55, or similar software is required.
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic studies using HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and XPStorm.
  • Prepare and process CLOMR and LOMR applications with agencies and FEMA.
  • Develop Storm Water Management Plans for complex drainage sites.
  • Understand construction processes related to permitting and surveying.
  • Maintain strong management and customer service skills.
  • Ensure team compliance with engineering practices, regulations, client criteria, cost sensitivity, and constructibility.
  • Coordinate with authorities for necessary approvals before construction.
  • Pay close attention to detail and manage multiple projects and team members.
  • Review and approve project payables and receivables.
  • Engage in marketing and relationship management activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proficiency in HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS required; XPStorm experience is a plus.
  • Experience with TxDOT projects is a plus.
  • P.E. license required.
  • Texas Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) preferred.
  • Valid Texas Motor Vehicle Operator's License required for job-related driving.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English for communication purposes.
