Job summary

American Structurepoint, Inc. is seeking a Civil Site Engineering Co-op in Austin, TX to gain hands-on experience in site design, including grading, utilities, parking lots, roadways and stormwater management.

You will collaborate with licensed engineers and contribute to land development projects affecting local communities. You will work with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Excel, supporting design development and plan refinement while learning from senior engineers in a supportive mentorship

Qualifications

• Student pursuing Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Engineering, Land Survey or Structural Engineering with emphasis on Civil Engineering.
• Reliable transportation to and from the office location.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Managers and Team Leaders on land development projects including industrial, residential, mixed-use, urban redevelopment and affordable housing.
• Learn drafting, plan production, design, field inspections, cost estimation and coordination.
• Gain experience using AutoCAD and HydroCAD.
• Assist with permit applications, technical specifications and development of exhibits, drawings and presentation materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

As a Civil Site Engineering Co-op, you’ll gain hands-on experience insite design, including grading, utilities, parking lots, roadways, and stormwater management. This role offers extensive experience withAutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Excelas you help create and refine construction plans.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities in our Civil Site Engineering Group

• Work closely with Project Managers and Team Leaders on exciting land development projects, industrial, residential, mixed-use, urban re-development and/or affordable housing projects.

• Student majoring in any of the following disciplines: Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Engineering, Land Survey or Structural Engineering or other related programs with an emphasis on Civil Engineering
