Job summary

Futures Consulting LLC in Houston, TX is seeking a Civil Engineer with 3+ years of experience in civil/site development design. You will design grading, drainage, stormwater plans, and utilities, and develop project documents using Civil 3D and AutoCAD.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; EIT is a plus. This on-site role requires strong communication and coordination with surveyors, architects, and other engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3+ years of civil engineering/design experience in an A&E environment.
• Experience with site development, grading, drainage, and stormwater design.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
• EIT preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design civil/site development projects from concept through construction documents.
• Prepare grading, drainage, paving, utility, and erosion control plans.
• Perform stormwater and drainage calculations.
• Develop plans and construction documents using Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
• Coordinate civil designs with surveyors, architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Assist with permitting and responding to plan review comments.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and local regulations.
• Participate in project coordination and client meetings.
