Job summary

CAIR seeks a Trial Attorney to join its Civil Rights team in a virtual role. You will lead and support trial activities, coordinate with colleagues, handle discovery, depositions, and briefs, and present arguments in court and administrative hearings as needed.

The position requires a J.D., an active bar admission, and strong research, writing, and oral skills; appellate experience is preferred. Some travel and weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and an active bar admission.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments and meet deadlines.
• Strong civil rights knowledge with excellent research, writing, and oral skills.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of trial teams on civil rights matters, including discovery, depositions, briefs, and trial practice.
• Represent CAIR in federal, state, and administrative proceedings as needed, including appellate work.
• Travel and weekend hours may be required and you will engage in settlements and outreach.
