Public Outreach is hiring passionate, outgoing people to join our Denver fundraising team and represent leading nonprofit organizations working to protect civil rights and create meaningful social change.
No fundraising experience is required.
We’ll teach you how to fundraise. We’re looking for people who already care.
This is face-to-face fundraising.
You’ll work alongside a team in public spaces throughout the Denver area, starting conversations about important civil-rights and social-impact campaigns.
You’ll:
Approach and speak with people from all walks of life
Talk about civil rights, equality, and social justice
Explain important issues in a clear, human way
Share how nonprofit organizations are working to protect people’s rights
Inspire people to take action by becoming monthly donors
Work toward individual and team fundraising goals
Receive regular coaching and support from experienced leaders
This isn’t petitioning or volunteer work.
You’ll be asking people directly to financially support nonprofit organizations through monthly donations.
Depending on your campaign, your conversations may involve:
Civil rights and civil liberties
Racial justice and equality
LGBTQ+ rights
Reproductive freedom
Voting rights
Immigrant and refugee rights
Freedom of speech and expression
Privacy and individual freedoms
Protecting people from discrimination
Other human-rights and social-justice issues
Campaign assignments can change over time, but the purpose remains similar - helping nonprofit organizations build the public support they need to continue their work.
You don’t need a nonprofit background.
You don’t need a political science degree.
And you definitely don’t need to know everything about every issue.
We’ll provide paid training on the campaign you’re representing and teach you how to fundraise.
We’re looking for people who:
Care about civil rights, equality, or social justice
Pay attention to what’s happening in their communities and the world
Enjoy meeting and talking with new people
Can communicate serious issues with empathy
Are open to feedback and coaching
Are motivated by goals
Want work connected to something meaningful
Experience in advocacy, volunteering, community organizing, theatre, hospitality, education, customer service, fundraising, canvassing, or sales can translate especially well - but isn’t required.
Caring about the cause is important.
So is being comfortable asking people to support it.
You’ll approach people you don’t know, start conversations, and eventually ask them to become monthly donors.
Some people will stop and listen.
Some won’t.
You’ll hear "no" regularly.
You’ll need to reset, stay positive, and confidently start the next conversation.
We’ll provide paid training, regular coaching, and support from your team.
Your hourly wage is guaranteed. Your results still matter.
$20/hour guaranteed base pay

This is not commission-only work. Your $20/hour base wage is guaranteed.
Our Denver fundraising shifts typically run:
Tuesday to Thursday: 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Friday to Sunday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
You must be available for at least3 full shifts per week.
You’ll work with your team at fundraising locations throughout the Denver area.
This is active, public-facing work. Expect to spend much of your shift outdoors, walking, standing, and speaking with people.
Please make sure you:
Are 18 or older
Are legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
Can commit to at least 3 full shifts per week
Can reliably get yourself to work locations throughout the Denver area
Are comfortable working outdoors and being active throughout your shift
Are comfortable approaching and speaking with strangers
Can communicate confidently in English
Are comfortable asking people to become monthly donors
Are willing to receive coaching and work toward fundraising goals
