The ACLU of Pennsylvania invites law students to apply to intern with our Legal Department. We seek inquisitive, engaged students with an interest in civil rights litigation.

This summer internship offers funding to ensure that all students can participate, with a hybrid schedule featuring two in-person days per week in either our Pittsburgh or Philadelphia offices. Qualifications

• Enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school.
• Interest in civil liberties and civil rights litigation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft memoranda, affidavits, and motions.
• Conduct legal and policy research.
• Interview clients and witnesses.
• Attend litigation team meetings and proceedings when possible.
• Support coalition work on criminal legal system and immigrants' rights issues.
