Job summary

Colorado Department of Transportation seeks a Civil Rights Specialist to support internal and external Civil Rights programs, including payroll, audits, and contractor compliance. You will provide training, review documentation, and help ensure compliance with federal and state Civil Rights requirements across CDOT projects.

The role emphasizes guidance to staff and contractors, DBE/ESB program administration, and expertise with B2G Now and LCPtracker systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in employee relations, human resources management, and/or employment investigations.
• Knowledge of Federal and State Civil Rights laws and labor laws and regulations.
• Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and regulations and apply them to projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and resources on Civil Rights programs to CDOT staff and partners.
• Administer DBE, ESB, OJT, and labor compliance programs.
• Educate stakeholders on program requirements and interpret contract provisions.
• Monitor compliance, conduct audits, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare reports and assist with system trainings for payroll software.
