US Fusion in Baton Rouge, LA seeks an experienced Civil Quality Control Inspector / Surveyor to support heavy civil, refinery, petrochemical, and industrial construction projects. You will perform field quality inspections, construction surveying, verification of work activities, and maintain project documentation to ensure compliance with drawings and client requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in civil construction inspection, quality control, or surveying.
• Experience in heavy civil, refinery, petrochemical, or industrial settings.
• Proficiency with GPS, total stations, and layout software.
• Ability to read civil/structural drawings and ensure conformance.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• TWIC Card preferred.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Perform inspections of earthwork, foundations, concrete, underground utilities, paving, and related civil construction activities.
• Conduct construction layout, elevation checks, grade verification, and as-built surveys.
• Verify work against drawings, specifications, IFC documents, and client quality requirements.
• Review and maintain inspection reports, survey records, test reports, turnover packages, and quality documentation.
• Coordinate material testing, density testing, concrete testing, and third-party inspection activities.
• Identify, document, and track nonconforming work and corrective actions.
• Verify dimensions, alignments, tolerances, anchor bolt locations, equipment foundations, and underground utilities.
• Participate in client inspections, audits, walkdowns, and turnover activities.
• Maintain calibration records for survey and inspection equipment.
• Support project safety initiatives and ensure work activities comply with refinery and industrial site requirements.
