Position Overview

The Project Manager for Transportation will oversee and manage transportation-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, developing project plans, and leading a team of engineers to achieve project objectives in civil engineering and roadway design.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee transportation projects from initiation to completion.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all applicable standards and regulations.
• Lead a team of engineers and technical staff in the design and execution of transportation projects.
• Conduct regular project meetings to update stakeholders on progress and address any issues that arise.
• Review and approve project designs and documentation, ensuring adherence to best practices and engineering standards.
• Monitor project performance and implement improvements as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Engineer In Training (EIT) certification required, Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in managing transportation projects, including roadway design and construction.
• Strong knowledge of transportation engineering principles and IDOT regulations.
• Familiarity with civil design software, including MicroStation and traffic modeling software such as Synchro and Highway Capacity Software.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
