Job summary

Thompson Engineering seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee engineering projects across civil disciplines. The role involves managing scope, budgets, schedules, and client relationships while leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Candidates with experience in transportation, site civil, coastal engineering, hydrology & hydraulics, water resources, federal and municipal projects are encouraged to apply. PE license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PE license required.
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
• Experience in Site Civil, Transportation, Water Resources, H&H, Coastal Engineering, Federal Infrastructure, Municipal Engineering, or Land Development.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and client-relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering projects from planning and design through construction.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and work plans.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide exceptional service.
• Lead project meetings with clients, agencies, and internal teams.
• Review deliverables for quality and compliance.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for repeat business and new client development.
• Mentor engineers and promote professional development.
• Support proposal preparation, project pursuits, and strategic growth initiatives.
