Job summary

Thompson Engineering is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of engineering projects across civil disciplines. You'll manage scope, budgets, schedules, and client relationships while leading multidisciplinary teams.

Candidates with transportation, site civil, coastal engineering, hydrology, water resources, federal, municipal markets are encouraged to apply. PE license required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering/project management experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Experience managing projects in one or more civil disciplines (site civil, transportation, water resources, H&H, coastal, federal, municipal, land development).

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering projects from planning and design through construction.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and work plans.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide exceptional customer service.
• Lead project meetings with clients, agencies, and internal teams.
• Review engineering deliverables for quality and compliance.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for repeat business and new client development.
• Mentor engineers and technical staff while promoting professional development.
• Support proposal preparation, project pursuits, and strategic growth initiatives.
