Job Description

Timmons Group is currently seeking a Civil Project Manager/Senior Civil Project Manager - Stormwater candidate to join our Stormwater Group located in our Ashburn, VA office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

  1. The Project Manager is responsible for the successful management of assigned projects and the development of assigned client accounts.
  2. Responsible for marketing and client development, technical quality, profitability, schedule, project staff coordination, client communications, negotiating scopes and fees, billing, and assistance in collection of fees when required, client follow-up maintenance.
  3. The Project Manager must maintain excellent relationships with clients, cross-sell Timmons Group services, and communicate regularly with the Group Leader.
  4. Ability to manage several mid-sized projects, multiple small projects, or a single larger project simultaneously is required.
  5. Prepare specifications and materials through research and manufacturing catalogs to specify materials, installation, inspection, and payment specifics for projects.
  6. Work on completing design details and plan sets.
  7. Perform research and write objective summary reports used in project work or inspections.
  8. Work with local governments on TMDL and MS4 regulatory compliance issues.

Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

  1. A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering with equivalent work experience and professional registration (P.E.) in Virginia, or the ability to obtain one in a timely manner.
  2. 6+ years of experience in civil engineering related to Stormwater management.
  3. Ability to manage the schedule and budget for multiple projects simultaneously.
  4. Experience in marketing and supervising the technical work of others.
  5. Working knowledge of CADD and Civil 3D software (Civil 3D preferred).
