Civil Project Manager - Renewables

Overview

As a Civil Engineering Project Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you'll manage wind and solar projects, interacting with clients and contractors to develop new relationships and expand our renewable energy portfolio.

Responsibilities

1. Manage renewable energy site development design, focusing on ground-mounted solar arrays and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
2. Drive business development activities aligned with the firm's annual objectives.
3. Prepare and monitor project budgets.
4. Ensure project schedules are maintained and projects are completed on time.
5. Develop design concepts, project plans, and specifications.
6. Prepare proposals for engineering services.
7. Coordinate and approve project pricing, estimates, and strategies.
8. Serve as a primary client contact.
9. Supervise and direct technical staff, assigning tasks appropriately.
10. Engage with clients for feedback and project direction.
11. Conduct site visits as needed.
12. Manage work-in-process, ensure accurate client billing, and monitor accounts receivable and collections.

Qualifications

1. 20+ years of civil engineering experience.
2. 5-8 years experience in solar and wind projects.
3. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
4. Professional Engineering License (P.E.).
5. Ability to develop and mentor staff.
6. Experience in preparing and reviewing Civil Engineering deliverables.
7. Proficiency in proposal preparation and project management.
8. Strong client interface, networking, and business development skills.
9. Effective public speaking and presentation skills.
10. Civil 3D and stormwater modeling experience is a plus.
