Job summary

W&A Engineering in Huntersville, NC seeks an experienced Civil Project Manager to guide land development projects from inception to completion. You’ll collaborate with clients, designers, and inspectors, lead an interdepartmental team, and ensure on-time delivery, quality, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, strong leadership, budgeting, and scheduling skills, plus proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D. PE license preferred. We offer competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; PE license preferred.
• Experience leading land development projects from definition to deployment.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and scopes with risk mitigation.
• Strong client communication and interdepartment collaboration.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead interdepartmental teams to complete projects on time and to specs.
• Define requirements, manage schedules, scopes, budgets and risk, and prepare implementation plans.
• Oversee design and permitting through project lifespan.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones; delegate tasks based on expertise.
• Ensure regulatory and company standards compliance; manage project documentation and reporting.
• Monitor project billing, payments, and vendor relationships; provide staff coaching as needed.
