Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. seeks a Project Manager in the Land Development Division to support our Data Center group. This role requires 8+ years of total experience with at least 4 years as a Project Manager and a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.

Travel across the United States to project sites and Westwood offices is expected. The position focuses on land development, real estate development and construction; it is not for technical infrastructure, IT, or data network

Qualifications

• Travel to project sites and other Westwood offices across the United States is required.
• Experience in Land Development, Real Estate Development, and/or Construction is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage Land Development Data Center civil engineering projects to meet schedules and budgets.
• Consult with clients to determine project requirements.
• Analyze reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and topographic data to plan and design projects.
• Visit project sites to ascertain existing conditions.
• Calculate costs and determine feasibility based on data analysis.
• Prepare reports, design documents, plans and construction administration.
• Conduct on-site observations during construction to monitor progress and conformance to plans.
• Prepare calculations, specs, construction documents and inspection reports using discipline-specific software.

Overview

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager in the Land Development Division to support our growing Data Center group. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.

This position requires Land Development, Real Estate Development and/or Construction specific experience. This position is not for Technical Infrastructure, IT, or Data Network Professionals.

Responsibilities

• Manages Land Development Data Center civil engineering project efficiently (meets schedules and budgets)
• Consults with client to determine project requirements
• Analyzes reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design project
• Visits project site to ascertain existing conditions
• Calculates cost and determines feasibility of projects based on analysis of collected data
• Prepares, conducts or directs preparation of reports, design, specifications, plans and construction administration
• Conducts periodic on-site observations of work during construction to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans and specifications
• Prepares calculations, specifications, construction documents, and inspection reports for projects as assigned using discipline-specific software
• Supports and communicates with team members throughout all stages of design, production, approval and construction processes

Required Skills and Abilities

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret
• Ability to write effective reports and correspondence
• Construction document and 3D production ability
• Possesses a firm understanding of engineering design for all aspects of site development along with current knowledge of industry trends, technology, codes and regulations
• Embraces teamwork approach and possesses strong communication skills
• Must possess strong technical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD and other discipline specific software

Education and Experience

• Minimum of eight (8) years of total experience, with four (4) as a Project Manager (or equivalent).
• Graduate from an accredited university or college with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Experience or degrees in other disciplines may be substituted at Management's discretion).
• This position requires travel to project sites and other Westwood offices throughout the United States
