Key Responsibilities:

• Bidding and Estimating:
• Review project specifications and blueprints to prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Analyze project plans to provide accurate estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to develop accurate bid proposals.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers for competitive pricing.
• Submit proposals to clients and provide clarification as needed.
• Project Management (post-bid award):
• Manage project schedule and budget.
• Supervise the jobsite and coordinate activities.
• Procure supplies and manage materials to facilitate work.
• Report progress and communicate with stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate risks.

Qualifications:

• Minimum five years of experience in heavy civil construction, including estimating or preconstruction.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and techniques.
• Proficiency in estimating and project management software (we use HCSS).
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Knowledge of project management practices and cost control methods.
